Multi Fuel Bunkering Facility at Fraunhofer CML

In March 2025, Fraunhofer CML was commissioned by H2AM – Hanseatic Hydrogen Center for Aviation and Maritime to plan, build, and operate a research and testing facility for refueling ships with renewable fuels such as ammonia and liquid hydrogen, the Multi Fuel Bunkering Facility (MFBF).

Fuel cell: System integration and commissioning

As part of the Hanseatic Hydrogen Center for Aviation and Maritime (H2AM) project—formerly known as the Innovation and Technology Center for Hydrogen (ITZ)—a new research and development center for hydrogen technologies is being established. The aim is to create an infrastructure platform for the application-oriented development, testing, and validation of components and systems, particularly in the field of fuel cell systems for maritime and aviation use.
